Child's Bedroom, Tilal Al Ghaf
Client Brief.
When our client came to us looking to transition their little boy’s nursery into a “big boy” bedroom, they had a clear vision: they wanted a space that felt timeless, relaxed, and would grow with him as he does. The goal was to create a room that focused on sleep and relaxation, while keeping toys to a minimum, with the bulk of play stored in the playroom we also designed.
Key Features.
Timeless Design: A neutral color palette paired with classic design elements creates a space that feels current yet will easily transition as the child grows.
Custom Wall Paneling: Soft blue paneling adds subtle depth and interest to the room, providing a touch of sophistication while keeping the overall design understated and calming.
Layered Textures: From cozy gingham bedding to a plush, boucle armchair, the room features thoughtfully layered textures that add warmth and comfort without feeling overly busy.
Statement Furniture: A warm wood bed frame serves as the anchor for the room, offering a timeless silhouette that will adapt to future style changes.
Whimsical Touches: Playful accents, like the embroidered bicycle pillow and vintage-style art prints, keep the space youthful and inviting, while staying cohesive with the overall serene aesthetic.
Focused on Relaxation: The layout and design choices prioritize rest and relaxation, with minimal toys in the room and a clean, uncluttered feel.
Growth-Ready: The versatile furniture and neutral palette ensure the room will transition effortlessly from a young boy’s bedroom to a more mature space, adapting to changing needs over time.
